How I Planned a Wedding, Without Pinterest

My lovely sister is on her honeymoon, so I contributed a guest post at her fabulous fashion blog My Here & Now Life. Head over to find out how I planned a wedding in the pre-Pinterest era, what I loved about it, and what I’d do differently!

  1. Great blog post! I’m actually planning my wedding now (84 more days to go …ewww) and I often feel that I’d be better off if I didn’t have Pinterest. I know, I’m crazy, right?! I’m not a Pinterest hater or anything like that; I have a Pinterest account and send endless amounts of time searching up innovation twists on the traditional wedding trends like guest books and seating cards. However, due to the fact that there are all these millions of photos out there with beautiful ideas, I feel the need to make my wedding, as you mentioned, “pin-worthy”. It’s extremely stressful! I’m at that age now where all my friends/family are getting married and it almost feels like everyone is secretly judging everyone to see who’s wedding is the most “pin-worthy”. Sometimes it would just be easier if there weren’t all these beautiful and accessible ideas out there for everyone to steal and measure you up against.
